God created you to live abundantly, enjoyably and successfully in all that you do. Life should never be mundane, dull and without purposeful pursuits. Life should be a grand adventure. You should live from one dream achievement to another. But unfortunately this doesn’t describe the lifestyle of most Believers that I know. I see too much comparing and competing. I see too much of chasing after money. I see too much unauthentic motives and copying and focusing on what others are doing. I hear too much noise. This used to be me. I would find myself trying to keep up with what everyone else was doing for the sake of looking good. At the end of the day I would think, who am I?

Today everyone is claiming to be some sort of a coach. It burdens my heart to see coaches claiming to show people how to find their purpose, how to change their mindset, how to live a great lifestyle, when in fact, these same coaches aren’t walking the walk themselves. Here’s the deal. If you want to know the purpose of a thing, you get it from the manufacturer. If you want to change your mindset, you find how the manufacturer wired you. If you want to a great lifestyle, you find out the plans from the One Who created you in the first place.

Let’s get real. God is the Creator and Manufacturer of every living thing on this earth, whether you believe it or not. I am no longer going to play around with status-quo and be cute, but I am going to share with you everything the Creator has shown me to pull myself out of a rut. I have yet found anyone who can permanently help me do this, but God. Some coaches have good plans. But they aren’t grounded and founded on God’s plan; therefore, as it is written, it is but a pile of sinking sand.

Here are three things I’ve learned and that have pulled me out of a rut:

1. Develop a Prayer Lifestyle Based on God’s Promises. Your prayer time is where God-given dreams are birthed. When you pray, you force your natural mind, with all its logic and human reasoning to quiet down so you can tune into the spirit of God. The Holy Spirit will fill you with God’s awesome dream for your life and strategies to bring it to pass. Prayer is the motivating force behind my success.

2. Leave Your Prayer Time Believing and Knowing You Have It. The mistake that is mostly made is short-circuiting your prayers. Mark 11:23 tells us to believe that we’ve received when we pray. That means to continue to believe that you have it up until you see it. Five years, ten years or what ever. If you begin to complain that you still don’t have what you desire, your prayer becomes void. If you launch out to do what others are doing and God has not directed you to do so, you are short-circuiting your prayers. Get God’s dream for your life. Dream about it. Find a comfortable place in your home to sit and stir up your dreams by visualizing successful pictures in your mind’s eye. What do you look like? What type of business are you in? You can become this if you mix your faith with the Word of God.

3. Develop Prayer and Dream Disciplines. Once a dream is birthed in your heart, you must take responsibility for the dream and put forth purposeful effort for it to come to pass. Here’s some sure-fire ways to do this:

Diligence. Pursue what is important to you with a bull-dogged tenacity. Don’t be swayed when opposition arises. God never gives you a dream that matches your ideal circumstances or environment to carry it out. Your faith has to do that.

Faith. Every God-given dream requires faith to achieve it…not a 20 step program that someone wrote. Practice using your faith on small projects and it will grow from there.

Patience. A dream delayed is not a dream denied. Learn to let patience have its perfect work. In Ecclesiastes, the Bible states that there is a proper season for everything. Learn to patiently wait on God’s timing while consistently confessing his promises over your life.

Focus. A focused person wastes little time. In order to fulfill my dreams, I dedicate all my time to purpose pursuits. Focus intensely. Stop looking at what others are doing. This only causes you grief because it appears they are farther than where you are. But know if their seemingly success is not ordained or grounded in God’s Word, it will be short lived.

Love. To fulfill your dreams, you must be motivated by love. You cannot envy or be jealous of someone else. According to 1 Corinthians 13:1-3, dream achievement is empty without love. Practice your love discipline with those around you. Love your spouse, children, friends, church, pastors, yourself and, of course, God. Love your life regardless of where you are right now.

Action. You’ll never rise higher than the action you take on a daily basis. Purpose daily to do something in pursuit of your dreams. If you aren’t sure, sit quietly and ask God to show you. Action gives you a sense of fulfillment. Action moves you from where you are to where you want to be.

God’s purpose and plan for your life is one of abundantly living and success. There must be a Bible-based blueprint in order to walk it out. Would you go to a Toyota dealer for assistance with the purpose of the knobs on the dashboard or your Mercedes? So why trust your life in the hands of someone who is directing you by their philosophies instead of the promises of God?

Yes, I’m tired of it. God has called me to elevate, educate and motivate His people. As a Marketplace Minister and Master Interior LifeDesigner, this is exactly what I’m going to do. I’m here for you.

Life should be a great adventure as you go from vision to vision, dream achievement to dream achievement. This should be the norm. You can live in a zone where anything is possible for you. But you must see with vision. <img style="float: right; margin-left: 35px;"src="http://i796.photobucket.com/albums/yy250/urfunnie2day/imagesqtbnANd9GcTDV_W7X-i9YMPcrjD5_H93jxJv5DMjjP4pw0LWLXlsMxl3Dujs.jpg" title="21 Undisputed Truths of Vision" class="alignright" width="240" height="180" />

360 Interior LifeDesign Insight: Knowing and understanding what you were born to accomplish is purpose. Seeing your purpose in your mind by faith is vision.

As the leader of your life, it is your duty to clarify your vision and keep it in front of you at all times. It becomes the fuel to your life’s engine. Are you going to live by design, or are you going to procrastinate and drift along? I seriously doubt you were designed to drift along. You were designed for destiny. And writing your life plan enables you to draw out what’s already inside of you to fulfill your destiny.

Roll your works upon the Lord commit and trust them wholly to Him; He will cause your thoughts to become agreeable to His will, so shall your plans be established and succeed.

God created you, designed you and equipped you with everything you need for your vision. Your heritage, your ethnicity, your skin tone, your dialect, your weight (well that’s negotiable , and your height are together packaged for the fulfillment of your vision. Here are 21 indisputable principles of vision that will spark your engine and spur you into vision mode:

1. Vision is your seeing-eye to where you are going in life.

2. Vision is the offspring of purpose. Your purpose will ignite your vision.

3. Vision is your recognized purpose.

4. Vision is the foundation of true leadership.

5. Vision: if you can see it, you can design it

6. Vision is distinctive, unique, organized, detailed, realistic

7. Vision is inspired by God.

8. Vision is future-focused and demand driven.

9. Vision is a legacy.

10. Vision is manifested in stages.

11. Vision is designed to make you uncomfortable.

12. Vision is a personality changer.

13. Vision is greater and more powerful than the visionary.

14. Vision is strategic.

15. Vision is why your exist.

16. Vision is the basis of all planning.

17. Vision is magnetic.

18. Vision is compelling.

19. Vision is emotional.

20. Vision is powerful.

21. Vision is the generator that empowers you to action.

Your mission in life and your vision are two different things. A mission is a general statement of purpose, what you stand for. Your vision is the product of a clear sense of purpose. Whatever your plans are, commit them to the Lord in prayer. Once you put them on paper, you will have plenty specifics to pray about. This is a vital step because no matter what you believe, you will need God’s direction.

It is disturbing how many women do not understand the significance of discovering their gifts. When you maximize the gifts and talents that you have been given, you will begin fulfilling your purpose and become great in your chosen field of expertise. Here are six easy steps to help you uncover your unique gifts.

1. Ask. The created is not more powerful than the Creator. Ask God to show you things that cause you to become zealous and enthusiastic. With pad and pen take inventory of your skills and abilities. Your list may include working with your hands, building or fixing things, easily counseling others, good writing skills, strong leadership or organization skills or strong listening or speaking skills. List everything you can do well.

2. Reflect. When you were growing up, what were your favorite types of movies, books, places to go and things to do? Are there some witty ideas you’ve been sitting on or business ventures you’ve always wanted to do but never started? What have been some of your biggest accomplishments in life? Look through your book collection and see what genres do you read the most. I recently inventoried my library and wasn’t at all surprised to discover that interior design, life achievement and spiritual growth were the repeated theme. Some keys to your purpose are hidden in these.

3. Journal. Record your reflections in your journal. Also, spend time journaling about your deepest dreams and goals. Your journal is a record of where you would like your life to go and can be used as road map to get your there.

4. Think above and beyond. Don’t limit yourself in your way of thinking. Don’t think the same old way about your life. Remove all limits that your family may have embraced. Great thinkers do great things. Think big and extraordinarily and you will be motivated to accomplish your goals. Go to new places like museums, the opera, a live play. Talk to new people especially people who are movers and shakers who push the envelop. Talking to people outside of your normal circle of friends will help you look at your life and gifts from a different perspective. Never rule out the importance of engaging a mentor or consultant.

5. Involve God. God wants to reward you with the abundant life, but you must grow in the things of God. Believe that. Let Him be involved in your passions and pursuits. He created the passion you have, He leads you by your desires and He can instruct you on how to properly use it. (Psalm 37:4). Believe He will do great things in your life. In Psalms 37:23, God promises to help us accomplish our purpose by ordering our steps.

6. Cue in. Identify what limits you. Is it a lack of education? Financial limitations? Lack of spiritual growth or are there other things that are gong on in your life that may be limiting you? Cue in on them and devise a plan of action to eliminate them. Again, this is an area where a mentor or consultant is indispensable.

Your unique gifts and talents have the potential to be a flourishing career for you and also a way for you to give back to those who are a part of your life. A well-designed life of peace, happiness and fulfillment begins with your beautiful interior where your potentials and gifts are lodged. Don’t allow yourself to be a shallow version of the woman you were called to be. Shape your life with standards, principles and morals; color your life with love, laughter, learning and a legacy and utilize the textures of excellence, expertise and experiences to make a positive footprint in the world.

The top reasons why people don’t live life like it matters and walk into their purpose:

Lack of focus – focus is a destiny-critical component to successful living

Fear – overcoming fear is an absolute necessity to designing a rewarding life

An inability to let go – letting go of all the things that no longer serve you well is vital to achieving your biggest, boldest desires

And both the problem and the answer begins with your MIND!

√ Isn’t it time you get to live the life you want to live?
√ Isn’t it time you break-free of intrusive thoughts sabotaging your mind?
√ Isn’t it time all areas of your life and home are harmonious?
√ Isn’t it time you rid yourself of self-limiting behaviors?
√ Isn’t it time you have clarity of what to do with your life?
√ Isn’t it time you have healthy, sound relationships with family and other people?
√ Isn’t it time you rid the chaos and have peace in your home?
√ Isn’t it time you let go of the past and love yourself?
√ Isn’t it time you build confidence and raise your self-esteem?
√ Isn’t it time you are motivated to live with purpose?
√ Isn’t it time for a personal achievement experience?
√ Isn’t it time for your whole life transformation?

So you want to be successful but your mind doesn’t know about it!

One of the areas that have held me captive is my mindset. After a drilling three days in Orlando last week at the ‘ Be The Change Event,’ I realized that I had to ‘literally’ be the change if I wanted to succeed at the level of my desires. I want to help you do the same. It bins with a decision.

Are you ready for a change? Do you need to distance yourself from the clamor and clutter that builds-up inside of you? Are you being pulled and pushed and are uncertain of which way to go? Are you harboring hurt and burdens by the words or actions of others as well as your own? Isn’t it time to let go of the past and give birth to a healthier mindset and a happier you? Isn’t it time to become the architect of change in your life? Are you ready to make your life easier?

You are only one decision away from changing everything.

You are only one decision away from living a successful life.

I made the change and so can you.

I want to help you take the last three quarters of 2011 over the top by simply helping you to shift your mindset. Join me on May 2, 2011 for a live Teleseminar at 8PM EST for an hour of power. Entering into the next chapter and phase of her life, Dianna has done what God told her to do. She is recording an album and has released its first single so appropriately titled, Do What He Said, INDIE BUZZ Music.

Last Monday on my Designing for the King’s Internet Radio Show, Dianna, Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Empowering Everyday Women Magazine (EEW) was my special guest. The one hour show was powerfully anointed and highly energized so I thought how cool it would be to share it with you here.

The key take-away of this episode was this: whenever we do what God tells us to do, we are indeed designing our best life because His plan for us is blessing us with a future filled with hope — a future of success, not of suffering. His plan is that our lives be shared, giving of ourselves and our gifting to empower and enhance others. When we do what He tells us to do, in actuality we are giving life away.

Enjoy this archived episode with newly recording artist, multi-talented publisher, journalist, teacher, savvy entrepreneur and inspirational blogger, Dianna Hobbs and me recorded live on the Designing for the King Show. Oh, by the way, immerse yourself in Dianna’s Daily Cup of Inspiration and download a *FREE* track of her second release, Purpose.

Hey, we all get off track sometimes. It generally shows up dressed as distractions, procrastination, disgust, bewilderment, indecisiveness or just plain ole fatigue. It happens.

I can recall times when there were so many different projects on my plate and I’d work a bit on one then jump to another. But nothing was coming to completion. It appeared I was just merely going in circles, playing musical projects. There’s no formula for being flawless in this journey called life. But I have some good news for you. There are ways to redesign your life to function as you were originally designed.

Think about this. When you plant a seed in the ground, it always produces that which it was intended. For instance, plant an apple seed and what do you get? Apples! Plant a flower seed and what grows? Flowers? When God created you, He already planted the seeds inside you for a specific purpose and vision He purposed for you to grow into. But distractions, procrastinations, disgusts, bewildering, indecisiveness and fatigue sometimes are inflicted by others. You know, the things people say or do that causes you to become blinded to the vision and purpose seeds originally planted inside of you. Upend this lifestyle today. Become acquainted with you. Redesign your life. Here are the top six ways to do this:

1. Caution yourself
You were placed here for a reason. There is a life’s design seed in you beckoning to blossom into your purpose and destiny.

2. Take back control
Okay, you’ve swerved off the path for a moment. It happened. Don’t dwell on the time lost. Move on and find yourself.

3. Inventory your talent, desire, passion seeds
What are you good at? What do you do just for the fun of it? What would you do if you wouldn’t be paid to do this? Perhaps it’s something you’ve always enjoyed doing as a child. Perhaps it’s something you’ve always wanted to do but was afraid. Don’t be afraid. Remember, God has already planted the seed inside of you. Don’t allow it to rot in the soil of your heart. Give Him a good bang for His investment in you.

4. Revisit your goals
Let’s face it. Goals are the heartbeat to life. Without them you’re walking around with blinders on. Stretch yourself. Jump into the challenges that come your way. Reposition yourself. Push yourself to do the things you desire. Not only for yourself, but to shine in the face of those who told you that you can’t.

5. Stop Stressing
Put things in perspective. Use your mental energy in ways that you enjoy. As important it is to exercise your body, likewise it is with your brain. Crossword puzzles, reading for relaxing, visiting museums, listening to soothing music, and this one I particularly enjoy: thumbing through high-end magazines for selecting the furnishings for my next home. Use your imaginative energy on things you desire that will elevate your thinking. Laugh out loud often, like every half hour. Don’t take things so seriously; just be serious about making things happen.

6. Design your focus
You are drawn to your most dominate thoughts. Everyday I sit alone where it is quiet and focus on the design of my life. This is the most important aspect of redesigning your life. See yourself in, on, or at the desires of your heart. Then say out loud to yourself everyday what you are focusing on. If your focus drifts away, gently pull it back. Utilize the seed of imagination that God placed inside of you. Use it to your advantage and redesign your life.

No matter how old you are, how long you’ve been in a career path that you dislike, or what the naysayers are shouting, redesign your life today into the person of your desire. The seeds are inside of you. Water them and watch them grow.

I’m so glad you stopped by to read my post. Please leave me your comments.

The beginning of a new season in some way incites creativity and motivation for change. Included with the desire to change may arise enhancing our lives; more outside activities and the best vacation spots. Much the same comes about for the home. Refreshing and renewing worn places ranks high on our to-do list. For many of us, we seek to get our home in order and finally decorate those neglected and tough to tackle areas.

Ready for a Change!

When I think about changing my home environment it reminds me of how Jesus changed the darkened, hidden places of my being into a ray of light and hope. With a renewed mindset and beaming anticipation I knew He had a purpose for my life. I was ready for a change. Venturing into a home make-over, whether one room or the entire home, can produce this same optimism. But before you jet out to the store to make your purchases, prepare your mind for the change. Consider what you want your home to accomplish for you. More importantly, how can your home design unify your family? Do you want it to remind you of the warmth and security of your home as a child? Or would you like it to help cancel the pain of the past? What about a design that will accommodate every family member’s desires and needs?

Too often we acclimatize lifestyles and living at home to the layout and features of the home. Imagine how our lives would be if God didn’t first re-arrange the universe. He designed His world in His majestic display of power with purpose. The same holds true for every design or decorating endeavor we undertake. Design changes should spring forth out of a renewed mindset. I’m not only talking about designing to appeal to forms and aesthetics. And I’m certainly not referring to making changes because your best friend or neighbor’s home is outdoing yours. That’s not the right mindset, that’s meddling. Creating the right home design mindset means to have a plan.

Design a Plan

Looking back over Scripture it is apparent that God did nothing without a plan. From the design of the world in Genesis to the soon and coming King in Revelation, His plan has always been wooing His people to Himself. It didn’t matter how impossible the darken world looked, God had a plan for the design of His world. He knew exactly what He wanted His design to do for Him and His family. This says to me that we must do no less when designing our home. Let’s consider the gathering or family room for example. This room generally serves as a multi-purpose area where we relax and entertain, play and work, or watch TV, read and do homework. But we certainly can’t engage all these activities simultaneously. And someone has to plan the room’s layout and décor for incorporating these activities. Then the schedule must be planned.

Meeting of the Minds

Actually the way you live at home determines how you should plan your design. If relationships are centered in your heart, then making a place that unifies the family and connects family with friends is one way to define the purpose of the home. Perhaps working from home defines a major purpose for redesigning the home. Evaluate the use of each space. I often advise my clients to have a design meeting with their families. In this meeting discuss what is important to each household member, write it down, and be willing to compromise and be flexible when possible. While function is a major consideration in the design process; what’s paramount is the emotional and spiritual well-being of the entire household. Here are a few suggestions to discuss in the design meeting:

Objection

What is the main purpose for making design changes? More space? Ab better lay-out? New purchase? Reworking some existing things? Insulation to stifle the sound of drum practice or electric games?

Do you want your home to reflect your spiritual life? If so, what would you need to do to be ready to reflect this? Would it be more patience with each other? Like-mindedness with your spouse? Unselfishness?

Does your lifestyle define how you live at home? What functions must be performed for each room?

Editing

Walking through the home and carefully looking at each room, what do you see that needs to be done?

What do you see that needs to be removed? What isn’t needed that can be donated or just simply thrown away?

Are there any hard places in your heart needing editing? What about spurts of anger over something simple as tidying up behind someone or taking out the trash?

Ambiance

What kind of atmosphere do you want? Do you want it to be peaceful? energetic? restful? loving?

What kind of atmosphere can you create that will sustain His Presence?

Atmosphere is very important to the Lord. Remember that He transformed space to separate the waters so He could design an atmosphere called heaven.

How is the atmosphere of your heart? Does it need renovating? Only a touch-up?Do you have the right spirit in your heart? What about your attitude?

What style, objects and activities will be pleasing to the Holy Spirit? Everything that looks good may not necessarily be sanctioned by God.

Bringing Order

How can you arrange your activities to undermine any negative habits and keep the home in order.

Assess your needs for bringing clarity to what to do with what you have.

Which spaces can you use in nontraditional ways if functional issues arise?

In what ways can you adjust and show more love and respect for each other?

Sentiments

How can you incorporate past places of influence into the design?

How can you incorporate those pleasant childhood memories into the design?

How can you incorporate priceless family traditions into the design?

Cultural

Are there any cultural influences and can it be included?

Talk about your differences and how to effectively translate them into the design.

Preferences

What are your likes and dislikes?

What are your individual interests?

Bonding

When and where is family time together? It maybe as simple as sitting around the table sharing your day.

Remember children are people too. Don’t make the design so important that they aren’t allowed to enjoy it.

Differences

Discuss personalities, values, and memories. This carries a high price in keeping peace at home.

Improvements

What changes will benefit everyone and fortify the family?

What are some practical ways to improve on what you have?

How can you better designate the existing spaces to meet your family’s needs?

These lists are not all inclusive, but know how vital it is to do this. So much time is used when planning activities to entertain friends, but planning the details with the right mindset for living at home is oftentimes overlooked. When you think about it, you spend more time in your home than any other place, which makes home design the most influential art form. In view of that, home is an important part of health, spiritual and well-being of your family.

Making changes in our lives and homes is essential and always necessary. I challenge you to begin this spring/summer season with the approach of looking at home design from a different perspective. Yes you are eager to finally decorate those neglected and tough to tackle areas. You’re longing for a fresh start. But be mindful of your family’s needs, surrender any selfish ways of doing things. Renovating allows for a fresh start. Renovate your heart of those hidden attitudes so that His plan and creativity can rise up within you. Your home is a good gift. Design it with the right home design mindset.

I always enjoy reading your comments and thanks for reading my posts.

Sharing my Passion,

This Saturday my family will be serving at our church’s annual Easter egg hunt. This annual event generally brings children and families peacefully from both the congregation and nearby neighborhoods. Fun and games are on the menu for the children who will be putting their expectations and appetites on autopilot to feed on these joyous activities. It is a time for them to run and rush to search under every nook and cranny looking for those beautiful designs on those prized eggs.

These kids are fully charged and powered to resurrect every beautifully hidden painted egg, probably not so much to wolf them down but merely to simply have fun during their annual routine of seeking the competitive edge over their peers.

I’m reminded of how our lives sometimes can seem to slip into autopilot mode as the best within us are hidden from view while simply doing the routine things for the sake of just doing life… …competing for attention, recognition or acceptance.

Just think about this for a moment. If we aren’t careful, life can sometimes become so mundane that we forget there is a rhyme and reason for being here. Our lives have purpose. We may not always know what it is but one thing for sure by running and rushing each day in search of the competitive edge will certainly not resurrect the dead areas in our lives. Gifting and talent, innovations and inventions dwell deep within us and today the challenge is RESURRECT THEM!

Take your destiny off autopilot. Write the vision. Read the vision. Speak the vision. Put your destiny in good hands – your own.

1. Take your destiny off auto-pilot. Purpose today to opp-in and take advantage of opportunities that will better your quality of life. See the assistance of like-minded people. Some things can’t be accomplished alone. And don’t just have a come-se come-si attitude, or whatever will be, will be outlook. Take control. Navigate by your gut. If you feel passionate about it, then do it.

2. Write the vision. Make a list of the things that you feel and know needs resurrecting in your life. Perhaps it’s taking care of your body, exercising or clearing your heart and mind of the past so the new you can emerge, better habits, less distractions. Write down those areas that are dead that needs reviving.

3. Read the vision. Read what you’ve written over and over each day.

4. Speak the vision. Speak what you’ve written over and over each day. Speak in the first person, “I am, I will, I can.”

5. Put your destiny in good hands – your own. Step out, take action, ignore the nay-sayers, stay focused, just do it!

Easter season brings to remembrance of Someone who was once dead; Who was resurrected by the power of divine purpose and destiny. This same power dwells within you. Give power to that purpose. Resurrect your life today!

The other day I was brainstorming with one of my friends over some things we are endeavoring to accomplish as we planned our upcoming conference in Los Angeles. We were charged and caught up in the moment by what God is doing in both our lives.

I met Linda while I was on an assignment and we sort of gravitated towards one another. But the amazing thing about her is that she keeps me accountable and I her, probably by default because we understand that success is a choice. Continuing to bounce ideas off one another I suddenly realized that we were realigning ourselves, designing for success, and walking into our purpose.

Linda and I talked about there being many who have no clue what true success really is. I believe that success is a choice, and it must be cultivated. The world suggests that our success requires us to turn away from the path of godliness – to neglect developing our relationship with God; to disregard ethics and morals for the sake of getting ahead.

I asked my husband Eric to define success. Out of his mouth I heard, well it is NOT money. (I smiled in delight). You have to know my husband. He doesn’t usually directly answer a question. In legal terms, he generally demurs, or delay by making a point of order. Befitting of him. His mind is trained that way as he is a law student. But then he went on to say something so profound, “Success is doing the will of God; and in God’s will we find our purpose, and when we know our purpose, we have found success.” I could not have said it better. Humm…

In cultivating a successful lifestyle, home life, family relationship, ministry or business, much the same as designing a space, or a room or even a entire residence or office space, there must be a process. The process of designing for success begins within us because wherever we go, whatever we do, we are there; When we are there, we make an impact on the environment, the people, the world. Our successes aren’t for us alone, it affect others. It begins with the one you see in the mirror. Michael Jackson said it so well,

“I’m starting with the man in the mirror,I’m asking him to change his ways and no message could have been any clearer, if you wanna make the world a better place take a look at yourself, and then make a change!”

Success causes one to ask questions like, “what do I have to become?” We have to become what we think. This means we have to relinquish the old way of thinking and cultivate a new. My 5 secrets to designing for success look like this:

1. Don’t Serve Your Thoughts

You can’t move forward as long as the problem or the obstacle that you are looking at is the biggest thing in your life. If you are thinking about the problem more than the solution, you are serving your thoughts. There is a way of escaping negative thought patterns. Talk to the man or woman in the mirror and tell him or her who you desire to be and what you desire to become. Make it automatic each time you see yourself in a mirror. And by all means look in a mirror often!

2. Take Control

Quit allowing your circumstances and challenges to assume your thought life. Instead, realize that circumstances won’t ever change until you change. Remember, you aren’t alone. you have God’s thoughts. You have the Holy Spirit to strengthen you and you have the mind of Christ.

3. Enlist a Master Mind Group

This is so very important. Get around people who are full of faith and have attained and traveled where you want to go. Don’t rehearse your problems to them! Make yourself listen to them. Join in with their faith and resist your old way of thinking, seeing and saying things.

4. Prepare

Don’t be like the foolish virgins in the parable at Matthew 25. When they went to meet the bridegroom, though they took their lamps but took no extra oil and therefore were not prepared for the unexpected. We must be responsible for preparing ourselves by:

Becoming the Learned. Read what others are saying. Read about current events. Read your Bible. Study to show yourself approved.

Competing only with Yourself. When you compete with you, then you are challenging you. Competing with someone shows signs of immaturity. You cannot succeed by trying to out-do someone else.

Journaling your Thoughts. You must be prepared to see around the corner. Write down the plan, a one, five and ten year plan. Everything you will ever need is within you. The design is within you.

5. Get a Strategic Mindset, Serve Others and Seek their Wisdom

Today I tweeted some thoughts and then retweeted some thoughts of others. I believe this is a great place to share as they fit in and are self-explanatory:

It’s difficult dealing with an adult who acts like a child…..put them in TIME OUT! @JamalBryant

As you go about your day, look for opportunities to add extra value to your customers and the people you work with. @JennyFerns

Keep your eyes on your dreams, feet on the ground and you will get there one step at a time @JennyFerns

Mastermind with yourself for 30 minutes each day, gets ideas flowing, answers bubbling. @ ProsperitybyDesign

Life takes on meaning when you become motivated, set goals and charge after them in an unstoppable manner. @LesBrown

Instead of doing 4,000 things 1 time…do 1 thing 4,000 times. That will bring success. @StephenSwisher

Life is personal journey. People who give so much time to judge others, have no time to improve their life. @CodeinDesign

God hates cheating in the marketplace; rigged scales are an outrage.” Proverbs 20:23 (MSG) @HaroldHerring

Watch what you say and say what you mean. Words can create an atmosphere that can be felt. @FaithladyDeana

Don’t loose the simplicity of a child. Just believe God and do it! @FaithladyDeana

Designing for success is a choice. And, of course you don’t need permission to succeed. Linda and I know this and we are holding one another accountable for the directions we are taking in this journey called life. Designing for success is the road we have taken by merely making a quality decision. What about you?

Leave me your comments, questions or thoughts. I’d love to hear from you.

Sharing my passion,
